Rain and Snowfall

Rain and snowfall stand out best when they are staged against a dark background. The end result depends greatly on the rate of precipitation, the distance between the background and the subject, and the exposure time.

If you’re aiming to take rain pictures from a blind, face your blind toward a dark background. If you’re out in the field photographing in the rain, try to get to a place where you can get as dark a background as possible.
