ARRANGED SETUPS OR SPONTANEOUS SHOTS?
What is more rewarding: an image that required a lot of hard work and preparation, or a surprise opportunity?
For some, planning and preparations equal manipulation. Yet, when it is executed in moderation, preparatory work is a natural part of photography, and there is nothing to disapprove of. Well-made preparations can multiply your chances of getting good images. I would say that a large number of famous wildlife photos are taken in arranged setups. For example, with no feeding or other preparations there would not be many great shots of wild Golden Eagles.
