Built-in Flash

The built-in flash serves three purposes:

  • It provides lighting for subjects at relatively close range (up to about 15 feet at ISO 200) when there isn't sufficient light to take a hand-held photo.

  • It provides fill flash when the available light is very bright and harsh.

  • It can be used to wirelessly fire off-camera and studio flashes.
