Host-status information for hosts is purged only if it exceeds the setting of the Timeout.hoststatus option (V8.10 and later).

-A

The new -A command-line switch specifies whether the sendmail.cf or submit.cf file should be used (V8.12 and later).

-bd

Also listen on port 587 for message submission (V8.10 and later).

-bv

The restrictexpand keyword for the PrivacyOptions option causes sendmail to drop special privileges when the -bv switch is specified by a user who is neither root nor a trusted user (V8.12 and later).

-G

The -G command-line switch indicates to sendmail that a message being submitted from the command line is for relaying and is not an initial submission (V8.10 and later).

-L

The -L command-line switch allows you to change the name used by sendmail when it logs with syslog (V8.10 and later).

-m

As of V8.10, the default for the MeToo option is set to true. As of V8.12 sendmail, the -m command-line switch is deprecated.
