In this chapter, we discussed the DOM and how it differs from SAX. In the next chapter, we explore another method of extracting interesting portions of an XML document using a basic traversal language called XPath. Once you’ve learned a little about XPath, we move on in Chapter 6 to a transformation technology called XSLT.
