Returns string
with all carriage returns
removed and special characters (<

) escaped. The HTML version to use for
character-escape sequences can be specified using the optional
htmlversion
parameter. Valid entries are:
-1
(current HTML version), 2.0
(HTML 2.0, default), and 3.2
(HTML 3.0). Example:
