Name

DeleteClientVariable

Synopsis

DeleteClientVariable("variable")

Deletes the specified client variable (where the variable name is in double quotes). Returns True if successful. The following example creates a client variable, attempts to delete it, and reports whether it was successful (the example assumes you have client variables turned on in the ColdFusion Administrator and that a valid Application.cfm file exists in the directory containing the example):

<CFSET Client.MyVar="This is a client variable">

<CFOUTPUT>#Client.MyVar#</CFOUTPUT>

<CFSET DeleteClientVariable("MyVar")>

<P><CFIF IsDefined('Client.MyVar')>
Couldn't delete the client variable.
<CFELSE>
Client variable deleted.
</CFIF>
