Feature Servers

The VOCAL system supports the following features:

  • Call Blocking

  • Caller ID Blocking

  • Call Forward All Calls

  • Call Forward No Answer Busy

  • Call Return

  • Call Screening

  • Voice Mail

  • JTAPI server (see its later section)

These features are created through Call Processing Language (CPL) scripts, and each of these features has its server. On smaller systems, the features may all reside on the same host, but unlike the Provisioning and Redirect servers, there is no master Feature server.

For more information about how to assign features to users, see Chapter 4.

For more information about how features are used by subscribers, see Chapter 13.
