Synopsis

mysqlbug

This is a script for reporting bugs to MySQL AB developers. Executed at the command line of the server, this script gathers information on the version of MySQL and related libraries installed, the operating system, as well as how MySQL was compiled.

To run the utility, simply type the command without any options or arguments. After a few moments a text editor (e.g., Emacs) will be started with a form for reporting the bug. Several of the details will be filled in with information gathered by the script. You can modify this information, and you are expected to answer questions about the bug discovered. This includes a description of how to reproduce the problem or what circumstances occurred that may have caused or contributed to the problem. If you discovered a workaround solution, report this, as well. The report created (saved in the /tmp directory on Unix systems) should be emailed to .
