Copying Images from a Web Page

Many websites have interesting pictures that you might want to keep. To copy a picture off a web page, you can store the image as a file in a folder or in iPhoto, or you can copy it so you can paste it into a program without storing it as a separate file.

Note

Be careful copying pictures from websites since they may be copyrighted, which means you can't use them without permission.

Saving an Image as a File

If you see a picture that you want to keep, you can save it as a file either in iPhoto or in a folder on your hard disk by doing the following:

  1. Click the Safari icon on the Dock. (If the Safari icon is not visible, double-click the Safari icon in the Applications folder.)
