history
Description
This lists previously issued commands.
Commands can be reissued in two ways: use the up and down arrow keys
to navigate through the list of commands, or use
!
number, in which
number is the number of the command as
shown in the list displayed by the history
command. Note that the ! syntax does not work in many versions of the
shell.
