Appendix A. Keyboard Shortcuts

People are always looking for ways to get work done in less time, and keyboard shortcuts can help you do just that. Learning them can be kind of tedious, but once you’ve mastered the shortcuts in this chapter, you’ll get your work done at lightning speed, freeing up more time for fun tuff.

Note

As is the style throughout this book, the Windows keyboard shortcut is listed first, followed by the Mac shortcut (if there is one) in parentheses. Safari users beware: Many of these shortcuts don’t work with your browser—try Firefox if you’re a true keyboard junkie.

Google Docs

There’s nothing more frustrating than when you’re busy writing your great American novel, fingers flying a mile a minute on the keyboard—and you have to stop typing and grope around for the mouse to click some button. Fortunately, you can keep your fingers on the keys and get just about anything done using the keyboard shortcuts listed in Table A-1.
