About the Author

Robert Hoekman, Jr., is Certified Macromedia Professional who has worked with Flash since version 3. He is the founder and manager of the Flash and Multimedia Users Group of Arizona (FMUG.az), an official Macromedia User Group (MMUG) with more than 150 members. In the past several years, Robert has worked in corporate environments as a multimedia designer, web designer, and webmaster and has designed for audiences ranging from music-memorabilia collectors to executives at Fortune 1000 companies. He currently works in the engineering department of Thomson NETg, the e-learning industry leader located in Scottsdale, Arizona, as a Flash developer.

Robert’s publishing credits include two chapters for Flash MX 2004 Magic (New Riders) and an extensive series of articles for InformIT’s Flash Reference Guide called 10 Minutes with Flash, about how to do fun and useful things with Flash in roughly 10 minutes. Robert also served as the consultant for Flash MX 2004 Beyond the Basics (Peachpit Press), and technical reviewer and editor for Flash MX 2004 Hands On Training (Peachpit Press), Photoshop CS/ImageReady CS for the Web Hands On Training (Peachpit Press), and Flash MX 2004 Magic (New Riders).
