Initial Steps
You can take specific steps in the initiation phase to help ensure a successful outcome of your IMA process:
Develop a vision of IMA effort, and gain executive support from both IT and business units.
Determine appropriate governance roles and responsibilities, and determine who will fill these roles.
Determine the initial scope of the IMA work, and lay out a roadmap for future efforts.
Obtain a commitment for funding the IMA effort.
