ec2-detach-volume

Synopsis

ec2-detach-volume volumeid [-i instanceid] [-d device] --force

Detaches the specified volume from the instance to which it is currently attached. You should make sure you have unmounted the filesystem from the instance to which the volume is attached before you detach it; otherwise, your data will likely be corrupted. If the detach fails, you can try again with the --force option to force it to occur.
